Final Project - Self Titled

Week 10 // Idea development

1. Write a biography about yourself

INTRO	Tell us about yourself I’m a very active person who always love to talk and have fun around but in some days, I’m a gloomy person. I might be having low self esteem and am not satisfied with my own. This side was only shown to myself and persons close to me.
PARAGRAPH 1	What is your passion? My passion is to create my own designs and publish it. I hope my designs will meet someone who loves them too like how I do. Besides, I also love photoshoot on beautiful things around me, I want to capture all the beautiful things and good memories down.
PARAGRAPH 2	What’s motivate you to achieve your dream? The people I love. Achieving my dream means succeed, I think? With the supports given by them all the way, I don’t want to disappoint them and also I want them to feel proud of me. Then, it’s for myself. I want to give myself a better life and also my family. By achieving my dreams, I’ll be able to enjoy a better life.
SUMMARY	How do you want to visualize your dream into an artwork? Finding the elements I like and gather into my artwork like collage or double exposure form.

2. Write a statement about your work

 

INTRO	Tell us about your work My work is a pinkish, flourish and girly poster. Which reflects my personality, I’m a very girly person and likes flowers alot, I like how the way they bloom.
PARAGRAPH 1	What is the concept behind it? In some days, I might be like flowers. Before blooming, gloomy inside and cover up myself but then in some days, I bloom, I’m full of joy and happiness. I’m trying to say that I’m a gloomy and bloomy person. But when I bloom, I smile, I’ll be the prettiest of them all.
PARAGRAPH 2	What is the message you want people to understand it? Bloom and be confidence to yourself, you’ll never know how pretty you are.
SUMMARY	What is your motto/ quote? Flower blooms so do I.

Week 11 // Design Direction

Digital Poster

I searched up on Pinterest for resources and elements to do my poster, things I searched up for are flowers, lines, butterflies and nice sky background. Then I picked few of them and mask them out. Here are some layers in Photoshop I used to arrange their layout and try out different compositions.

I've actually did few versions of digital poster but at last I chose 2 final designs for Mr.Fauzi checking and decision.

Week 12 // Execution and Post Production

 

FINAL POSTER	TITLE: BLOOM
	ARTIST STATEMENT: Flowers bloom, so do you.  I believe in everyone, they have a fragile heart and soul inside. You feel shameful, low self esteem and have no confidence for yourself. But little do you know, how self confidence can affect one. Believe me a smile in your face makes you better in ways. So honey, bloom and shine as bright as you can, you’ll never know how pretty you could be!

Week 13 // Animation and Finishing

Then I import my psd file into After Effects for the animation progress. 

I started with editing the butterflies as I want them to be in a flying and flapping effects so I adjusted their position and scale so it looks like they're flying around and then stop by some places for awhile. Here are the details for the adjustments.

Afterwards, I make changes to my hair with puppet tools. I also use the same tool on other subjects like flowers, background sky and clouds. I wanted to make my hair looks like it's swaying in the sky so I applied puppet tool on it. Then for the flowers are to make the blooming and growing effects. For the sky, is to make the clouds floating and moving.

More pins are used on the flowers as some pins are created to fix their positions as some are to move. Totally 39 pins were used.

I also make adjustments for the sparks falling behind, by adjusting their opacity and positions. Intention was to make it looks like meteor shower and to create sparks light.

Next, to my most excited part!! Picking music for my animation while to be honest I'm not really sure on how to place music inside after effects so I went to search up on YouTube for tutorial. While I guess it's actually just that easy to drag in to my video.

I wanted to have a soft and chill beats so I picked the prelude of Slow Down by Mac Ayres. That's a super nice song guysssss!!
