Final Project: Stop Motion
Week 1
In week 1, we were instructed to watch stop motion shorts and analyse the style, art direction, character design etc of 3 shortlisted ones.
This is the most classic stop motion clip I think. It’s super interesting as you would never expect what is inside of another and what object will appear next when the one being sliced. The break point is perfect, fits super well.
This is another stop motion film by PES. It is a cooking film using unexpected objects too. Very fun and interesting to look at. The break point for each scene is fit in perfectly too. A cool one to refer to.
Week 10
Stop Motion Test Shoot
We were being assigned into groups and carry out a testing shoot for stop motion so we could know and learn how does it actually works and what should we take note when filming it. We used both equipment, phone camera: the stop motion app and camera lens.
This is how it looks like being shoot in phone lens from the stop motion app.

However, it is time saving and convenient for those who doesn't have a camera like me. I'm using the app for my final project too.
Stop Motion Proposal
We were asked to write a proposal draft for our topic for the stop motion. So then, by the shooting time we get to save time and have a clear direction on what we should do.

Behind the Scene
The BTS looks a mess as you can see from pic. The props all were done by hand and some I even drew them and cut them out. The main character used was a crochet toy. I am using a Iphone 12 Pro camera lens to shoot this.

Here are some detailed pics of the props I made and scenes for the shoot which are home, outside and office, enjoy!!
Some shoots are being shot separated. Which are the captions at the ending part and the clock tickling scene.

Totally 389 frames were used.
Editing in Premiere Pro
I then import the video into Premiere Pro to do some color correction, apply sound effects, adjust speeds for some frames. I wanted the clip to be a very soft and saturated vibes so I used the below adjustments for each of the scenes and clips. Some variables are being customised due to the lighting difference.
