INSTRUCTION
We are required to create an animated infographic informing audience about given topic (min 1.5 - max 3 min video). The video must include some form of data/statistics as well as use the questioning technique and provide answers.

EXPLORATION
We firstly conduct some research to learn more about burn out for our final project in order to better understand the subject matter. The documents provide some of our conclusions, including:

- What is Mental Health ?
- What is Burnout ?
- Burnout vs. Stress
- What are the signs of burnout ?
- Relationship between mental health and burnouts
- What are the 5 Burnout Stages?
- Disadvantage of Burnouts
- How to prevent / stop burnout?
- Ways of recover burnout / deal with this mental health

I was in charge of the part ways of recover burn out.  We have also discuss and decide on our style going, moodboard in Miro. We all agree to simplify the scenes with just shapes and outlines instead of colourful illustrations.

And here's our findings in Google Doc:

After that, we are required to breakdown the script and VoiceOver according to the key points and present the spreadsheet on week 3 with the breakdown of duration, scenes, visual suggestion, graphics and etc.

We started brainstorming visual ideas for the script provided by Mr.Martin for the burnout project. I was quite shock when we first saw the script as it was so long and so many small things of the script that we need to think of how to bring out as animation to represent its meaning.

By then, we all have a group meeting call to breakdown and discuss together of the visual ideas for the script. The visual ideas were written inside this link provided.

STORYBOARD
On this stage, we were assigned with our own part and to sketch the storyboard related to the visual ideas in the script. I was being assigned for the "depression" and "purposelessness" part for the storyboard.
Well because I don't have an ipad and laptop with me by the time during CNY session in kampung so I just roughly sketch with pencil and paper then scan it into my phone and convert into files.

fig 1.4 - pardon my sketch.

Here's an overview of our group's storyboard sketch and a compiled version of the sketch storyboard.

As the majority of us were only able to vaguely draw out the storyboard ideas, we quickly settled on the ideal composition and the final art direction for the form, colour, and other elements. After that, we kept working on rebuilding the storyboard in a more structured and understandable manner.

Pei Yun, one of our team members, assisted the group in creating the character designs so that the group's storyboard would be consistent.

Follow by then, I reconstructed the storyboard in AI with the designed character by Pei Yun. in the resolution size of 1920 x 1080 px. This is my reconstructed storyboard and a compiled animated version storyboard by Jia Hui, our team member.

After receiving feedbacks from Mr.Martin, we continue progressing. Our group decide to divide the group into two team which are the illustration team and animation team. I was being divide into the animation team.
So for us, the animation team, we will be waiting for the illustration team to finalize the AI assets, frames and scenes, only then we can continue working on the animation part.

ANIMATION

So now we have the illustrations from the illustration team, I was being assigned to do S1-S5. Yes, 5 scenes. Good luck to me because I sucks at doing animation. So for my part, same scenes are being illustrated into few frames, plus the illustration we're using it's kinda simplified so will be a tough job for the animation team to do their job on making the outcome good tbh. But however, we all did our best to animate the scenes. Here're my frames to be animated. BOOM😩 IT'S quite AN AMOUNT of frames

This was the 1st draft of S1-S5 scenes illustration, and I started at first by separating all the layers of each frames in AI, and yes I used alot of time in separating layers too~
fig 2.1 - separated frames

Then, only I drag the files into AE to start the animation progress. At first, I was kinda lost and blurred as I couldn't get what's the illustration trying to bring out and how should I animate it. Luckily, the illustration team provides us a full compilation and suggestions on animating it.

Due to time restrictions, I wasn't able to get S5 done on time. After getting feedback from Mr.Martin, well the feedbacks are very intense🥲 There're a lot of issues that need to be amended especially my part that has the most issues. Here to view the feedbacks received.

So I took note of the feedback given on each scene, some of my scene's illustrations need to be amended so by the time waiting for the illustration team to provide me an updated illustration file, I continued doing some adjustments and amendments again for the other scenes. Well, most of the issues are avoiding transitions while compiling in PP.
Besides, Mr.Martin also said that we have ugly texts and asked us to replace them with another. My team thinks the font that I'm using is nice and suitable for the art style of our illustration. Hence, we all agreed on using the font "Bakso Sapi" for all the texts.

With the feedback from the previous weeks, here're my 2nd drafts for the animated scenes:

fig 3.1 - updated S1 scenes 2nd draft

fig 3.2 - updated S2 scenes 2nd draft

fig 3.3 - updated S3 scenes 2nd draft

fig 3.4 - updated S4 scenes 2nd draft

fig 3.5 - updated S5 scenes 2nd draft

With all of our scenes, Jia Hui, our team member compiled them into a clip and showed Mr.Martin again for the feedback.

fig 3.6 - final compilation 2nd draft

Well, what we have gotten from the feedback was "can submit d". However, Siew Weng, our group member was not satisfied with the outcome and wanted to amend some scenes which she thinks isn't what she expect the scenes to be animated like this. (it was only left like 3 days for us to progress and submit, so everyone was actually very panicked and stressed, me too cause my part to be amended was the most)
So, Siew Weng created a google doc and breakdown the scenes with her suggestions on how should we animate and improve them.

During this stage, I was very stressed and a bit frustrated when they request to re-illustrate my scenes which means I need to separate the layers all over again with AI. Meanwhile, my granny still hasn't finished baking her apple strudel and my laptop keeps crashing, couldn't open files, and the deadlines are coming. Bro, it's like quanta kill.
After a discussion with Siew Weng and Pei Yun, the group leader and the member responsible for my scene's illustrations, I decided to animate again on a few scenes but on my own reference, some scenes which I think it's fine and no need to be amended, I left it to Siew Weng to decide and amend them with the AE file if she doesn't like it because I think I already tried my best on animating them but it still doesn't meet the standards of her. She's kind enough and patient enough to help me with my scenes anyways. I am really thankful for her help.

Here're my 3rd amendment for S1-S4:

fig 4.1 - updated S1 scenes 3rd draft

fig 4.2 - updated S2 scenes 3rd draft

fig 4.3 - updated S3 scenes 3rd draft

fig 4.4 - updated S4 scenes 3rd draft

Well, seems like my part really made a big amendment. I was amazed by the final outcome and here's the final compilation of our group's. Really thankful to each group member for the help and giving huge efforts in this project. Blessed and appreciate🥰 tenkiu group 1.5!!

Final Outcome:

Reflection

Okay, so this whole project is just related to its topic "Burnout". Well, I'm really burnout doing this "Burnout" project. The whole progress was suffocating and super stressed out. I admit I'm not really a person who's good at animating using AE, I might say I'm terrible for causing trouble. Sometimes, I might be thinking that my part wasn't smooth enough to fit in with others as they're like all pros and I'm like a potato. But I've really tried my best in making them better so I could meet the expectations. But the group was very friendly and some members are willing to help me out and give me suggestions throughout the whole project.
In this project, I think my animating skill has been improved compared to the semester. Haven't been using AE for so long, day and night ever since I had my degree. Well, info design made me do it😀 Good to get a new skill. Another key takeaway I've learned in this project is communication is the key to working together as a team. You need to have proper communication with each other, think of others' thoughts, be thoughtful, don't leave any of them out in the whole progress, and make sure that everyone's on the same track, only then the progress will go smoothly without any conflict.
The final project was tough, and finally, we progress now with the outcome was so good and I'm so thankful to each member!
